Until the Dawn by Alec Clayton
Like the protagonist of his novel Until the Dawn, painter and writer Alec Clayton grew up in Mississippi and was active in the civil rights movement of the 1960s, and in New York in the 1970s he was immersed in the SoHo art scene. He now lives in Olympia, Washington, where he writes art and theater columns for newspapers south of Seattle, Washington in Tacoma and Olympia. His novels include Until the Dawn, Imprudent Zeal, The Wives of Marty Winters, and an upcoming novel, The Backside of Nowhere. You can learn more about Alec at his web site.
